Mark R. Levin’s Unapologetic Patriotism

with 2 comments

Mark R. Levin’s patriotism is without question!  Yes, I said it!  His patriotism is without question!  His expertise in Constitutional law, and his love of America, drives him to do his daily show, executing liberal lies with impunity, and educating us on finer points of government abuses through a better understanding of the U.S. Constitution.

Mark R. Levin is the President of Landmark Legal Foundation.  Previously, he served as Landmark’s director of legal policy.  He has worked as an attorney in the private sector—much to the chagrin of liberal justices—and as a top adviser and administrator to several members of President Reagan’s cabinet.  Levin served as chief of staff to the attorney general of the United States, deputy assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education at the U.S. Department of Education, and deputy solicitor of the U.S. Department of Interior.  He holds a B.A. and Juris Doctorate from Temple University, but he is far more than that to America and conservatism.

As President of Landmark Legal Foundation, he exemplifies their values stated on their website:  “Founded in 1976, Landmark Legal Foundation is one of the nation’s oldest and most successful conservative public interest law firms.  We fight for the values and ideals the Founding Fathers gave voice to in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.”

His patriotism shines as a beacon for all to see in his work through the Landmark Legal Foundation.  Currently, Mark is tackling projects with the foundation that include Public Accountability, NEA Accountability and Environmental Accountability—all of which is available for public viewing at the Landmark Legal Foundation’s website (http://www.landmarklegal.org/DesktopDefault.aspx).

Just working to break the stranglehold the NEA has on education deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery.  He is battling for the future of America.  No, he doesn’t do it for the glory, nor does he do it with an M-16 rifle, but he does it nonetheless.  He does it because he wants to do it.  He does it because he wants his children growing up in the same country he grew up in, and he does it because he loves America.

Landmark Legal FoundationMark clearly thinks that the education of America’s children is one of the most important things he can help accomplish.  And he loves the fight.  Or, as stated on the Landmark Legal Foundation’s website: The education of America’s children is one of the most important tasks any generation faces. That task is complicated significantly by the stranglehold the National Education Association has on America’s educational infrastructure. From local school boards to Congress and the White House, the NEA spends uncounted millions in tax-exempt teachers’ dues to elect officials who will write into law the union’s extremist political and social agenda.”

Landmark continues, stating, “In the last decade, Landmark has been relentless in uncovering the NEA’s unreported political expenditures and taking it to task for violations of federal tax, election and labor laws. Now, with Phase II of our NEA Accountability Project underway, we are expanding our focus to include the NEA’s state affiliates – the frontline troops who actually carry out the political activities and spend the union’s funds to advance its objectives (http://www.landmarklegal.org/DesktopFrame.aspx?frame=MESSAGE&artnumber=1&modid=633).”

Armed with a law degree, conservative principles, and a fire in the belly, he truly does have the best interest of the children in mind.  So, he pursues the liberal agenda, attacking them as if he were a pit bull devouring a freshly cut steak.  He tears into liberals, ripping apart their asinine ideology while articulating a conservative agenda.  But sometimes, he must advance his agenda—reluctantly—trampling those he would otherwise support.

And on Monday, June 8, 2009, he did just that, tearing into Newt Gingrich’s flawed philosophy and his support for Powell.  He did so reluctantly, because his patriotism and his belief in conservatism demanded it.

“There is nothing Reaganesque about Powell,” Levin said.  “Nothing at all…As for this purity issue, you constantly bite the left’s bait.  This isn’t about ideological purity.  There’s a big distance between Colin Powell, and all other Republicans and conservatives.  Over 46 million of us voted against Barack Obama and the Republican nominee.  And a huge number of those millions were disgusted at what Powell did and the way he did it.”

Mark continued, noting, “And my guess is John McCain would be one of them.  Whether he is or not is his problem.  It’s time for some articulate, intelligent, fresh voices who don’t carry so much baggage, and are so undisciplined in their thinking and in their public comments.  Loyalty, integrity, embracing some certain principles…that’s what we want from so called Republican leaders.  Powell—with respect to Scooter Libby—was a disgrace.  He knew for two years or more that Scooter Libby was not the source of information about Valerie Plame.”

But Mark didn’t stop there.  He kept lecturing, Gringrich, commenting, “It was his own deputy, his buddy…Armitage, and he kept quiet.  Is that what a good soldier does?  Is that what a good Republican does?  Is that what a good conservative does, Mr. Gingrich?”

Mark didn’t enjoy it, but he had to do it.  His country needed it.  And his love of America required it.  There aren’t many men that would make that leap, not many men that would publicly humiliate Newt Gingrich, and there are less men that would have done it so well.

America needs Mark R. Levin.  They need him to stave off the tyranny that sits in the Oval Office, and they need him to do the work so many others refuse to do.  And if you have a mind to do so, make a donation to the Landmark Legal Foundation so that your children can get as good of an education as possible.

So as we continue this week’s salute to Mark Levin, Elective Decisions, thanks him so dearly for his patriotism, his hard work and his dedication to the American cause.
